About the Product
Concrete with recycled aggregates from aerated concrete is a mineral product of water, aerated concrete recyclate, sand, cement and concrete admixtures. Bimolab’s material sample used 70 % (by volume) recycled material, which is produced from processed aerated concrete fractures. These are samples which have been developed within the scope of research.
RC concrete with recycled aggregates from aerated concrete has so far only been used in research projects. Due to the low density of the aggregate aerated concrete, the concrete has a low strength.
The use of recycled material protects primary raw materials. However the climate-relevant gases cannot be reduced. When using it, the distances from the point of concrete demolition and its processing must be balanced with the distances from fresh concrete in order to prevent a rebound effect.
As this is a product undergoing research, the recycling scenarios have not yet been investigated.
