recycled cellular concrete aggregate

About the Product

Fractured aerated concrete can be crushed, sorted and processed into recycled aggregates. The material can occur either in the factory (internal recycling), on the construction site or during the demolition of a building (post-consumer recycling). The purer the material fraction, the fewer steps are required to enable high-quality recycling. The recycled material is available in different grain sizes. If 95% of the recyclate consists of aerated concrete, it is considered to be pure.

Due to the high porosity, the high air content and the low weight of cellular concrete, the recyclate can be used in particular as bulk insulation and filling for levelling layers. To a lesser extent, it is also used as an aggregate in RC concrete types 1 and 2 and also as an aggregate in light mortar bricks.

Aerated concrete quarry, which is mixed with other products such as plaster or mortar, it is used as backfill material in earthworks, road construction and landfill construction, as well as a vegetation substrate in gardening and landscaping.

The recycled aerated concrete can be reused depending on its use. If it is pure and loose, it can be reused indefinitely. Once the recycled material has been incorporated into a product, the aggregates can no longer be dissolved in a single grade.
