recycled calcareous sandstone aggregate
Life Cycle Transition
About the Product
The quarry of sand-lime brickwork can be processed into recycled aggregates. This can be produced either in the factory, on the construction site or during the demolition of a building. The purer the type of fracture, the fewer steps are required to enable high-quality recycling. If 95% of the recycled material consists of sand-lime bricks, it is referred to as pure. The recyclate is available in different grain groups such as 0/2, 0/8, 2/8, 8/16, 16/32 mm.
Due to its high density and strength, the sand-lime brick recyclate can be used in particular as an aggregate in RC concrete type 2. If there is a difficult to separate mixture with other products, such as plaster or mortar, it is used as backfilling material in earth and road construction as well as landfill construction. The aggregate is also used as a vegetation substrate in gardening and landscaping and in research projects on RC products.
Depending on the application, the sand-lime brick recyclate can be reused or recycled. If it is pure and loose, it can be reused indefinitely. Once the recycled material has been incorporated into a product, the aggregates can no longer be dissolved in a single grade.
